Nanoparticles and Nanostructured Materials Synthesis and Research Group

ABOUT

We are a scientific group working at one of the leading universities in Russia, dedicated to exploring the formation patterns of inorganic nanoparticles during their synthesis from solutions, understanding the correlation between nanoparticle characteristics and the properties they exhibit, and creating inorganic, hybrid, and composite materials based on the obtained nanoparticles.
Similar to the butterfly effect, small changes in synthesis conditions or procedures can lead to significant alterations in nanoparticle parameters, resulting in changes in the functional properties of the materials based on them. One of the most important questions facing us is how to achieve exactly what is needed. We have the ability to produce inorganic nanoparticles of various natures with specified sizes and shapes, but the unexplored territory is still vast. We have access to state-of-the-art scientific equipment, we work shoulder to shoulder with outstanding scientists in Russia, we have the opportunity to acquaint ourselves with the latest achievements in global science. Our motto is: «Exploring. Understanding. Creating.»

Exploring
→ Studying the relationship between «synthesis conditions and procedures—nanoparticle parameters»
→ Investigating the relationship between «composition – structure – property» in inorganic nanoparticles and materials based on them

Understanding
→ Experimental investigation and theoretical description of nanoparticle growth processes
→ Experimental investigation and theoretical description of interactions between nanoparticles and molecules of various natures
→ Quantum chemical calculations of the energy spectrum of solid-state materials
→ Modelling of magnetic properties of nanoparticles with complex structures

Creating
→ Development of inorganic nanoparticles and nanomaterials with specified functional characteristics
→ Directed control of properties of polymer—inorganic composite nanomaterials
Our mission
We preserve and enhance human knowledge, create new technologies and materials, never cease our own development, and are ready to share this with others.
